Trees In Newcastle has a well-establiished nursery at our site at Belmont Wetlands State Park, Kalaroo Road, Redhead, where we stock tubestock plants and some advanced specimens. Our plants have local provenance as they are grown locally from seed collected in our region. We are proud to provide advice on appropriate species selection, planting and ongoing care.
Habitat Stepping Stone
Habitat Stepping Stones is an Australia wide, non-profit initiative, developed at Macquarie University.
Our project helps you find food, water and shelter elements to add to your backyard, balcony, work or outdoor space in order to create a habitat stepping stone for local wildlife.

The Backyard Habitat for Wildlife program is free to join and provides and opportunity for you to help ensure the survival of local wildlife.
The Backyard Habitat for Wildlife builds on the Habitat for Wildlife program initiated by the Community Environment Network on the NSW Central Coast.

Lake Mac Seed Library
Established in March 2021, the Lake Mac Seed Library provides free seeds and educational activities to community members, supporting local food security and sovereignty, resilience, wellbeing and reducing cost-of-living stresses.
A seed library is a community project which lends or shares seeds.
Lake Macquarie Landcare
Lake Macquarie Landcare is a partnership between the Lake Macquarie Landcare Volunteer Network Inc, Lake Macquarie City Council and more than 200 Landcare groups. Local groups are supported through the Landcare and Sustainable Living Centre, umali barai-ku.
Lake Macquarie Landcare groups seek to restore, rehabilitate and conserve the natural environment in bushland, parks, foreshores, estuaries, wetlands, creeks, and coastal areas on Council land, Crown land, and private land of high conservation significance.
High Swan Dive
Started in 2013, High Swan Dive begun a much different life.
Originally a store focussed on finding and selling quirky artist made objects and books, it has now transformed into one of the most unique garden stores in the country.
